Hello Nurse!

I'm gonna try to refrain from any juvenile jokes here, but wow, what a horrible picture. This is from an ABH article today about Athens Tech.

Oh, and by the way, just so this post is not totally devoid of political content, the article says that Sonny screwed us again on funding, this time denying funding for increased space for more students in the nursing program. This despite the unbelievable shortage of nurses and the hella-long queue of would-be nurses on waiting lists to get in nursing programs in this State.

But why are the students laughing? And notice one is turning away in disgust. I loudly, sternly object to my tax dollars going to this liberal "show and tell" "touch and enjoy" experiment at Athens Tech. Damn you, liberal institutions of higher learnin!

Please note that it's specifically instruction in how to insert a catheter.

Why am I paying my hard-earned tax dollars for young, impressionable girls to learn how to touch a man in this region?

Our state is out of control, where is the Republican General Assembly when you need them.

Leave my State Senate district alone and stop this disgusting use of classroom instruction time. NOW!

I realize that it says its a picture of instruction on catheter insertion, and that's why I withheld the juvenile jokes, but what I don't understand is the aforementioned laughter of the students (and the instructor for that matter). Maybe somebody just told a joke, I dunno. What I really don't understand is why the ABH would use this pic at all; surely they had rolls of pics that looked less silly (I mean even one of the catheter insertion would have been ok if the students looked serious). Just seems like an odd choice to me; if I'm the only I'll shut up (about this, not in general.)

how do yo know it's a man?

Well, if it isn't a man then it's even more disgusting. We don't need our tax dollars funding same-sex catheter insertion. Hell, I don't want our kids to even know what "same-sex" means.

What's next, classes on "girl-on-girl" action and its impact on society? Not on my watch. (Sarcasm aside, that's actually a class I'd like to take.)

They are probably just laughing to avoid an awkward sitation

An awkward situation made even more awkward by the fact that an ABH photographer is there in their faces. (A photographer who obviously doesnt understand the importance of "health-dummy" privacy.)

I'm with DoubleDawg on this one, weren't there other pictures that could have been taken. And why did ABH decide to put this one on the front page of their website

at least it was a dummy and they didn't feel compelled to show the goods.

Sigh.

You know, I spend a good half hour putting together some fine posts on redistricting and the Voter ID Law, but it stands to reason that our most popular posts today are about boobs and a catheterized dummy.

And they say journalism is dying. Stay tuned tomorrow, when I've got redneck Nazi crossdressers who support NAMBLA.

Don't be a tease, Pub.
