Skipping around a little, let's take everyone's pulse on State Senate 47, where Mac Rawson is taking on Ralph Hudgens.
Go.

Hudgens has to endure the wraith of Clarke Dems for his role in the redistricting of 46 and 47, along with some in Madison, whose county commission wasn't consulted. I don't have a bead on Madison sensibilities, but Rawson will certainly get some cash from Athens contributors.
I think the reality is that Ralph did not just randomly introduce SB 386. The Republican Party had to promise him a lot in order to take himself from a 75% Republican District to a 55% Republican District (very rough guesses). Hudgins is going to have a shit ton of cash and already does. The question is can Mac raise enough money to show how horrible he is. The $17k that he raised could be worse, but it's questionable whether or not at that pace he'll even be able to get his message out there.
FYI: Cowsert had a poll in the field yesterday which tested his own negatives about not paying his property taxes. Apparently, Kidd used this last time around.
I don't think Mac Rawson will win but he is going to be a lot closer than many people might think. Hudgens has made enemies of many powerful and influential people in his district.
The problem for people like Hudgens is that there aren't enough rich people to win an election. Of course, the problem for people like Rawson is that there aren't enough voters paying attention.
Quick is no threat to McKillip - I'm not sure she even knows why she's in this race.
E.H. will pull most of the Republican votes and a few old Athens Dems but I think Doug is reasonably safe as long as he keeps working his butt off and doesn't make any dumb mistakes.
I think Mac may surprise us. He knows how to campaign. I am a little worried for Mckillip becuase from what I heard, Cardee Kilpatrick and Doc and Upshaw and all them are among those who helped him get the sigs he needed to get on the ballot. I'm afraid some of that old guard of dixiecrats is going to vote for E.H.. However, McKillip has like the best campaign manager ever, or at least one of 'em in Robert Mabry. I think Jane's get out the vote effort will help McKillips, and vica versa. This race could get pretty interesting.

What does everyone think about House District 115? Doug McKillip v. Regina Quick v. E.H. Culpepper
Since you asked, here is what I think:
