National Politics - briefly

What do these two men have in common?

Seriously, though.

The weird thing is: why did Cheney's staff/the White House keep this under wraps for almost 24 hours?

(by the way, the cat on the left with the kickin' mutton chops is Aaron Burr.

Um...ok.

The icon of journalistic integrity and excellence that is the WH Press Corps?

I imagine that we diss on them for different reasons though.

Yeah, I don't really have any problem with the White House trying to keep this under wraps. I mean, it isn't the most calming news to hear that the Vice President accidently shot a man in the face, so giving them a day to catch their breath is understandable.

I think this administration is weirdly secretive too, but I think this instance is just out of embarassment more than anything else.

By the way, Corleone, the first question you referenced concerning the VP resigning probably made little sense at this press conference, but made perfect sense following Cheney's heart attack in 2001 (or, quite possibly, during the Libby scandal). You ask that question enough, and it tends to get stuck in your list of regular inquiries.

Dawg,

Wasn't the first question you referenced about "whether Cheney will resign" asked due to the VP's involvement in the CIA Leak scandal, and not in relation to the VP's shooting of another human being?

So nice of you to take the question out of its proper context, you are a good conservative soldier.
